As the farmland surrounding my grandparent's home disappeared, I was called by the mountains and wild spaces of Montana. I feel most at home outdoors, experiencing the natural world and its wonders firsthand. Skiing and snowshoeing have tracked me into the heart of the winter landscape, while hiking and kayaking have carried me even deeper into the forest and mountains.

 

These explorations gave me opportunities to observe moments and scenes of extraordinary natural beauty, some of which I have recreated and presented in my paintings.
